Juliet Young
Ordinary Member - Branch Committee of Management
I’m a Cardiac Physiologist with over 17 years of experience, having worked full-time in the public healthcare system since 2011. I currently divide full time hours between two public hospitals, Monash Health and Austin Health, and also work casually in the private sector.
Specialising in cardiac implantable electronic devices and cardiac electrophysiology, I’m deeply passionate about education. I’ve developed a regular educational and support programme for patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillators, providing an opportunity for patients and their families to expand their knowledge and connect with others living with defibrillators.
I’m committed to sharing knowledge with my colleagues to empower staff, advance my profession, and enhance patient care. I’m also an adjunct lecturer position at Monash University and currently pursuing a Master’s in Professional Health Education to further develop my teaching skills in healthcare.
As an active union delegate, I value a strong allied health identity, clear communication, and the importance of standing up for entitlements. I believe that a member-led union fosters a stronger, more democratic, and transparent organisation.
