Bron Rademaker

Ordinary Member, Branch Committee of Management

I am a Senior Speech Pathologist, Clinical Educator and VAHPA Delegate working in a regional public health service. With strong frontline experience, I understand what it really takes to deliver high‑quality, sustainable care in regional communities and am deeply passionate about supporting and growing the allied health workforce.

As a lifelong public sector AHP, I live the daily pressures facing allied health professionals: workforce shortages, rising demand, and the real challenges of recruitment and retention. I know that strengthening the regional workforce matters, not just for staff wellbeing, but because it directly shapes the care our local communities can access.

I’m an active and energetic VAHPA Delegate and was proud to take part in the recent member‑led campaign to protect VAHPA’s independence from a merger with HACSU.

Growing up in a union household, I learned early on the value of solidarity and the power of people coming together to create change.

I’m deeply committed to strengthening VAHPA’s democratic foundations, lifting the profile of allied health in public hospitals, and fighting for the wages and conditions AHPs deserve. Above all, I believe unions should be transparent, democratic, and led by, and accountable to, their members.
