Elektra Vlogianitis
Ordinary Member, Branch Committee of Management
I’m a Senior Physiotherapist and Team Leader working at the Peninsula Care Group of Bayside Health.
I’m a passionate advocate for healthcare workers’ rights, and have been an active and engaged VAHPA delegate for five years. I believe that building active and engaged workplaces is key to strengthening the collective power of Allied Health Professionals and achieving meaningful change across the state.
As a delegate, I have played a vital role in facilitating membership growth and increasing delegate engagement within my health network. This growth has helped ensure Allied Health Professionals have a stronger voice at the decision-making table and a stake in how our work is resourced.
Under my leadership, members’ concerns have been increasingly recognised and taken seriously by our network. I was also at the forefront of the successful member-led campaign against the current leadership’s attempted amalgamation with HACSU in 2025. My active engagement contributed to the calling of a Special General Meeting, which strengthened VAHPA's independent integrity.
I believe unions are strongest when they are transparent, democratic, and led by members who remain actively employed in the health system.I am proud to be joining the VAHPA Pulse ticket, and to have the opportunity to represent and uphold the rights of Allied Health Professionals across the state.
